Day 1
Each game consists of a three minute round, a one minute break, and then another three minute round with the position of the players switched.
Standing
Attacking Player:
- Position: Standing in front of your partner completely disconnected.
- Objective: Tag one of your partner's knees as many times as possible before the round ends.
- Constraints: No takedowns.
- Win Condition: None
Defending Player:
- Position:Standing in front of your partner completely disconnected.
- Objective: Focus on preventing your partner from touching your knees by using movement to create space and your limbs to impede their movement.
- Constraints: No takedowns.
- Win Condition: None
This game is continuous.
Top Player:
- Position: Standing disconnected in front of your partner with upright posture.
- Objective: Touch your partner's ribs or chest.
- Constraints: Do not touch your partner's shoulders or head.
- Win Condition: None
Bottom Player:
- Position: Standing disconnected in front of your partner with upright posture.
- Objective: Do not allow your partner to touch you. Break contact when they do.
- Constraints: Do not touch your partner's shoulders or head.
- Win Condition: None
This game is continuous
Guard
Top Player:
- Position: Standing with your partner underneath you and connected to one or both of your legs.
- Objective: Focus on breaking your partner's connections to your body and staying on your feet.
- Constraints: None
- Win Condition: Successfully disengage from your partner.
Bottom Player:
- Position: Underneath your partner connected to one or both of their legs.
- Objective: Focus on connecting to your partner's legs and hips in ways that make them carry your weight and limits their movement.
- Constraints: None
- Win Condition: None
Reset if top player wins.
Top Player:
- Position: Standing with your partner underneath you and connected to one or both of your legs and hips.
- Objective: Focus on breaking your partner's connections to your body and staying on your feet.
- Constraints: None
- Win Condition: Successfully disengage from your partner.
Bottom Player:
- Position: Underneath your partner connected to one or both of their legs.
- Objective: Focus on connecting to your partner's legs and hips in ways that make them carry your weight and limits their movement.
- Constraints: None
- Win Condition: Get your partners hands or hips to the mat. If they go to their hands hold them there as long as possible.
Reset if either player wins.
Top Player:
- Position: Standing with your partner seated underneath you and connected to one of your legs.
- Objective: Focus on breaking your partner's connections to your body and staying on your feet.
- Constraints: None
- Win Condition: Successfully disengage from your partner.
Bottom Player:
- Position: Seated underneath your partner and connected to one of their legs.
- Objective: Focus on upgrading your position so that your legs are connected to one or both of your partners legs and hips in a way that makes them carry your weight and limits their movement.

Pinning/Passing

Top Player:
- Position: On top of your partner with chest to chest contact lying perpendicular to their torso.
- Objective: Focus on isolating one or more of your partner's limbs or achieving chest to back contact in preparation for applying a submission.
- Constraints: None.
- Win Condition: Achieve a figure four grip from top side control, an extended arm connected to your partner's head while in mount, or an exposed back with solidified chest to back contact with an over/under grip (seatbelt).
Bottom Player:
- Position: On your back with your partner on top of you lying perpendicular to your torso with chest to chest contact.
- Objective: Create space and movement in order to allow improvement of your position.
- Constraints: None.
- Win Condition: Bring your feet between you and your partner or reverse the position.
Reset if either player wins.
Top Player:
- Position: On top of your partner with chest to chest contact lying perpendicular to their torso.
- Objective: Focus on keeping your partner flattened to the mat by maintaining pressure through your chest to chest connection.
- Constraints: None.
- Win Condition: None.
Bottom Player:
- Position: On your back with your partner on top of you lying perpendicular to your torso with chest to chest contact.
- Objective: Focus on breaking the chest to chest connection using movement and framing.
- Constraints: None.
- Win Condition: Bring your feet or knees between you and your partner, sit up, or reverse the position.
Reset if bottom player wins.
6 Minute Round
Live round with a partner. Start standing if you are able to do so safely. Otherwise pick the starting position from one of the previous games and start there. Roll to submission, reset, and continue. Repeat as many times as possible before the round ends.
